How do I delete an iCloud account?

Your Apple device is connected to an iCloud account to ensure its security. Before sending it back, you need to deactivate your iCloud account. Procedure for your iPhone or iPad:

• Go to the Settings application, then click on your iCloud account (1st line)
• Choose “Disconnect” (at the very bottom of the screen) and confirm your choice in the dialog box that opens.
• Return to the Settings home page, then click on “General“.
   
• Select “Delete content and settings” and confirm your choice.

Now that your personal data has been erased, you can safely return your iPhone or iPad.

Process for your MacBook:

• To get started, go to the System Preferences application (accessible from the Dock or via the Apple menu in the taskbar).
• In the top right-hand corner, click on “Apple ID“.
• Click on “Overview” then “Logout“.
• A window opens, offering you the option of backing up a copy of your iCloud data.
• If necessary, check the boxes of the data you wish to keep, then click on “Keep a copy“.
• Enter your password to confirm the deletion of your iCloud account.
